Since 1993, when Ioannis Golias opened the first Dionisos at Urgell street in Barcelona, his main purpose was to bring a bit of his home Greece to Spain. May all know its land across the palate with the best food and wine, its culture, its music, its dances, its language and its traditions.

So in each Dionisos we tried to make you feel at Greece. Therefore we import directly the vast majority of our principal ingredients, achieving this way to guarantee to our customers the best products and the artisan elaboration, our local suppliers provide us with fruits, vegetables, meat and fresh fish daily to develop the most traditional recipes but always with a touch of modernity. But to get closer to our customers and local communities to Greece, we also import furniture, kitchenware, including tiles and paintings that decorate our spaces.

Today, 26 years after that first Dionisos at Urgell street, there are already 14 Dionisos (Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Palma of Mallorca) and two Dionisos Quick Greeks (and a “Greek and Shop”)  and before the end of the year there will be new openings. We have overcame having only proper restaurants but also we do franchising. We got out of Barcelona with great success, we have managed to bring our little corners Hellenes to Madrid. The name Dionisos Group covers a number of separate and distinct companies that are brought together by a common image and love for Greece.
